Welcome Doc!

Barbados is going all out to make Caribbean Community (CARICOM) leaders feel welcome for next week’s leaders’ summit.

Earlier today billboards were being mounted along the ABC highway, between the airport and Graeme Hall roundabout, as Prime Minister Freundel Stuart prepares to host fellow heads of government of the 15-member grouping for their 36th regular meeting.

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon is among specially invited guests for the July 2-4 summit, to be held under the theme: “CARICOM: Vibrant Societies; Resilient Economies”.

Here workmen put the final touches on the billboard carrying the image of Grenadian Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell.

This billboard of Guyanese President David Granger was next in line to be mounted.

OK GAIA screeners. Please don’t attempt to screen or search any of these Heads of State….. AGAIN! Just remember these four words… Geneva Convention and Diplomatic Immunity.

Wait……Is that necessary? Wunna can’t even find money for supplies of the QEH, tax returns, bursaries, unemployment & maternity benefit, pensions, low and behold wunna wasting the hard working Tax Payers money putting up billboards. Why can’t wunna have a team of delegate staff to meet and welcome the Leaders at the airport? Wunna suppose to be educated man, why wunna continue to make wunna selves look ridiculous?

I didn’t see any Postmen and women out yesterday delivering envelopes stuff with tax return cheques.Maybe I will see them today or maybe some ah dem yardfowls would say that they were deposited on peoples’ bank accounts and people have already been smiling all the way to the ATMs,but then again it was said that those people at BRA WERE STUFFING ENVELOPES and one doesn’t stuff 24000 envelopes to be delivered to the Bank.

On the topic though,I wonder if the PM of Antigua would attend or would he send a representative who is of the same ‘ equal ” as the Don.

On yet another note,I am all prepared for the opening of the David Thompson Clinic on Tuesday 30th .Way to go for those people in St.John,…man I glad for wunna Johnies
