Four homeless after early fire

fire

A family of four is now homeless after an early morning fire destroyed their home in Boscobel St Peter.

The uninsured three-bedroom timber and wall structure occupied by Peter Devonish, his wife Sandra Phillips-Devonish and their two sons Jaiko and Zeco, was completely destroyed along with all their possessions.

The family was not at home at the time of the blaze, which started just after 8 a.m.

Very sad indeed and I do wish this family all the best. Unfortunately we have the common scenario of no insurance.

So terrible for this family and so frightening, but having insurance is so so important, even if you just insure the building and not contents you will at least have a start again.

Hopefully the citizens of BIM as well as originations will come together and donate what they can to help this family in their time of need.
