Teen accused of stealing ATV

COURT TODAY BLOCKA 17-year-old went before a Bridgetown Court Wednesday on seven charges.

Tridan Tarik Rock, of Pounders Gap, Westbury Road, St Michael pleaded guilty to all of the May 15 offences before acting Magistrate Alliston Seale.

The teen is charged with stealing an all terrain vehicle (ATV) belonging to Shawn Parris on that date, driving it without due care and attention, that he had no driver’s licence and no insurance coverage.

Further, Rock admitted to driving without reasonable consideration for other road users; that he did not have a registration card displayed in a conspicuous position on the vehicle; and that he did not stop immediately after an accident occurred while he was driving the ATV.

The vehicle is owned by the complainant and his brother.

On the day, Rock went to their house and told another occupant that Parris had sent him. Rock drove away the vehicle and the matter was reported to the police.

He has been granted $3 500 bail and the case adjourned until July 29 for a pre-sentencing report.
