Employees of C.O. Williams assisted in preventing what could have been a more serious situation, by dousing the motorcycle and a nearby grassy area with sand after both caught afire.

Husband’s relatives, including his wife and his mother, gathered at the scene within minutes of the accident, which led to a long backup of traffic on the highway.

He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance, while the driver of the car, who was not identified up to press time, escaped unhurt.
