BT shares the love with mums

Mother’s Day is the annual occasion when mothers and motherhood are celebrated, and Barbados TODAY sought to share some love with a few special mums this year on Sunday, May 10.

In conjunction with a few generous corporate companies, Barbados TODAY was able to bring a spot of joy to these lucky winners.

We started the ball rolling early with a thoughtful gift for the mum of Barbados TODAY’S treasured “son” Xavier Bertrand. Xavier who surprised the BT staff with the very heart-warming and thoughtful gesture of presenting them with a cake, decorated with the colours and logo of the company, on Friday May 8, was presented with a gift for his mum, compliments of Chakra Spa at the Accra Beach Hotel.

Some faithful BT Facebook followers were also rewarded. One lucky winner was Janelle Marshall who was very thankful to receive her prize of a lunch for two from The Beach One Restaurant. Marshall who collected her prize this week admitted she did not have a good Mother’s Day, so she was very appreciative of the timely gift.

Winner No. 2 was Shanice Sealy, mum of one, who gratefully accepted her gift set, compliments Cave Shepherd & Co.

Catherine Straughn won a prize seemed destined for her. The ecstatic mum of two boys was overjoyed on hearing she had won a dinner and floor show reservation for two at the Fig Tree Restaurant located at Accra Beach Hotel. She was more than approving of her prize, but the location was something extra special to her.

Maureen Butcher collected her sister, Catherine, prize.

Straughn has fond memories of the Accra Beach Hotel as she was married on the grounds of this beautiful South Coast spot on December 27 last year. With her birthday on May 18 drawing near, she thanked Barbados TODAY for “this memorable win” and vows to most certainly enjoy her dinner at the Accra Beach Hotel.
