Infant rescued from parked vehicle

Quick action by fire officers attached to the Bridgetown Fire Station headquarters of the Fire Service saved the life of 18-month-old Zakara Watson after he became trapped in a vehicle today at Coconut Walk, Hastings, Christ Church.

An official of the Fire Service told Barbados TODAY the infant became trapped in the vehicle around 1: 50 p.m.

Four officers, under the command of Sub- Officer Stanley Absalom, were dispatched to the scene. The officers later rescued the infant after breaking the glass of one of the windows of the vehicle.
