Unemployed man on $5 000 bail for theft

COURT TODAY BLOCKAn unemployed St. Michael man appeared before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court this morning on two charges.

Samuel DaCosta Chandler, 26, of Beckwith Street, the City, denied robbing Desmond Joseph of $432 and damaging a shirt belonging to him, on April 26.

Acting Magistrate Alliston Seale granted the unemployed man $5 000 bail. Chandler must report to a police station one day a week with identification, before midday.

He returns to court on July 9.

    Make him pick up snails and sargassum to pay back what he stole

    The same way the person paid the bail, why didn’t they help him out in the first instance? There must of been some good in him. On the other hand alot of mothers does uphold their children with wrong doing. He need guiding to the nearest cane fields to cut cane.
