Jamaica – WHAT A SHAME!

The Kingston Harbour teeming with plastic bottles and bags, Styrofoam boxes, tins, and other debris following a downpour on Monday. The banks of the harbour were part of a 101-mile stretch around the island which was cleaned by volunteers on International Coastal Clean-up Day last September. That effort saw the collection of 85,766 bags of refuse.

And I thought Bajans were nasty..(I say this as a Bajan who grew up reading about and seeing evidence left behind from persons who indisciminately dumped garbage and other waste over the years.)

Still we in Barbados still have to do better about our garbage. The people who are dumping need to stop it. The people in Jamaica have to deal with their own garbage problem. That picture is ridiculous.
