Ex-cop among three charged with South Point drug seizure

Police have arrested and jointly charged three people – including a former police officer – following the seizure of 123 lbs of cannabis and 32 kgs of cocaine off South Point, Christ Church on Monday.

The ex-cop is David Leroy Cumberbatch, 57, of Venus Drive, Wotton, Christ Church, who has been detained along with Neville Oneal Cumberbatch, 60, of Suttle Street, St Michael and Mekheal Jelani Dulal-Sealy, 27, of Skeetes Road, Ivy, St Michael.

The trio face charges of possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of the drugs.

They are expected to appear in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court today.

    Welcome to drug city (Barbados) . Thats how the rest of the Caribbean see us . Soon , it (BDS) will be “junkie” town then most of our TAX dollars will be spent on rehab (in or out of Dodds) for these fools who fall victim to illigal drugs .
