Another teenager faces gun charges

COURT TODAY BLOCKA 16-year-old was remanded when he appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on gun and ammunition charges today.

Roshawn Romario Gibbs of 3rd Avenue Wilkinson Road, Richmond Gap, St Michael was not required to plead to the February 8 charge that he had an unlicensed gun and one round of ammunition. Gibbs’ third charge was for having camouflage pants.

Magistrate Douglas Frederick remanded the youth, who returns to court on March 10. Gibbs was represented by attorney-at-law Allan Carter.

Just yesterday, a 15-year-old student was charged with having an unlicensed firearm, causing serious bodily harm to a man with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him.

The minor’s final charge was that he along with 20-year-old Gary Ian Williams used unlawful violence and engaged in conduct, which would cause a person present at a scene to fear for his safety.  The charges relate to a February 6 incident.

    What the hell is going on with these young teenagers, in my teenage days of growing up in barbados I was looking for girlfriends not guns,going to movies playing bat in ball enjoying the moonlight games, now look this is real sad I feell sorry for those youngsters they don’t have no life but prison life god please help them, and parents you have a lot to do with these kids action spear not the rod and spoil the child.
