Red House out front

Red House are in the lead with 461 points and are in poll position to capture their second consecutive title at West Terrace Primary School after their inter-house sports days at the National Stadium today.

They are closely followed by Yellow House on 434, Green House on 413 points and Blue House with 390 points. As long as Red House dominate the other outstanding field events scheduled to take place later at the school  then they will be crowned champions once again.

Some of the outstanding efforts which took place on the track today came from Rhashan Hunte of Blue House who won the girls’ under-13 600m and Jodey Leacock of Green House who won the boys’ 800m.

Skye Spencer-Layne who was unstoppable last year at the National Primary Schools Athletics Championship (NAPSAC) fired for Green House on the track today especially in the under-11 girls 400m. Jonathan Harmon of Yellow House had a comfortable win in the 400m under-11 boys.

The girls under-13 400m race was a pretty exciting one which went down to the wire between Mya Rowe of Red House who edged out Kamila Martin of Green House on the line.

Meanwhile Raheem Archer who scored that memorable century in the Herman Griffith Primary School tournament last year put down his bat just for today and ran the 400m under-13 boys for Blue House and won.
