Shooting and attempted robbery in Bayville

Lawmen are investigating a shooting and attempted robbery at a minimart in Bayville last night.

They say two masked men, armed with guns, entered the Bayville Minimart at St Paul’s Avenue, Bayville, St Michael around 9:35 p.m., with the intent to rob the cashier, but were unsuccessful.

However, one of the culprits shot a 52-year-old man who was outside the minimart in his right hand.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
