Tuach, Chefette join forces

Chelsea Tuach, Barbados’ multiple junior and open women’s national surf champion and top international surfer has caught the eye of the local restaurant chain, Chefette, which has named her as their latest brand ambassador.

Managing director of Chefette, Ryan Haloute, said the food chain was very excited to welcome Chelsea to the Chefette Family.

“Chelsea epitomizes determination, sportsmanship and a positive, active lifestyle and is a great role model for young people. Chefette is happy to have her represent our brand and we wish her continued success as she strives to rise through the ranks on the World Surf League’s Women’s Qualification Series  in 2015.”

Chelsea, who leaves the island this week, will again be creating history as she becomes the first Barbadian surfer to compete in China at the World Surf League’s 6000 WQS scheduled to take place in Hainan Island from January 17 to 20.

“I am honoured to be named as a brand ambassador for Chefette and look forward to an exciting 2015 season on the World Surf League’s Women’s World Qualification Series and Regional Women’s Junior Pro Series. I will continue to do my very best to reach for my goals and make my family, my country and my sponsors proud,” Tuach said.

Tuach joins Olivia Warden, who signed up with the local restaurant chain last year, as Chefette’s two surfing ambassadors for 2015.
