Trinidad – Five murders in first two days of 2015

PORT OF SPAIN –– The killings of Steven Fabian Carrington and Kevin Francis took the 2015 murder count to five in just two days.

Around 11:15 last night, Carrington, 30, of Carolina Village, Couva, was found dead in the back seat of a white Nissan Almera parked on the northbound lane of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway.

Petrotrin security saw the car outside the company’s fence and found Carrington dead with three gun shot wounds to the chest, according to reports.

Police said Francis, 23, of Duke Street, South Oropouche, was liming at a house party at Partap Trace when he went to urinate and was attacked. Passers-by found his body with a hole in the head at Maharaj Trace around 2 a.m. today and contacted the police command centre. Oropouche police went to the scene but Francis was already dead.

Police have no motive for the killings.

Police earlier confirmed the shooting death of Dorothy Rodrigo, 33. Rodrigo died after being shot several times by gunmen at her Jokhan Trace, Carapo home around 4 a.m. today.

    I am really praying every day morn noon and night to be a better person today than I was yesterday. God knows I am trying, I am wondering what those people are praying for.
