GUYANA-Flash flood swamps Christmas shoppers

The spirits of Guyanese Christmas shoppers weren’t exactly dampened yesterday, even when flash floods left the way –– King Street –– to the majestic St George’s Cathedral in ankle-high water. Below, flotsam yesterday in the bus terminal outside Stabroek Market, and making the best of sales in said market –– from on high.

Flotsam yesterday at the No.42 bus tarmac outside of the Stabroek Market after yesterday’s rains.

With the majestic St George’s Cathedral in the background this was a picture postcard scene yesterday save for the floodwater on King Street.
