UPDATE-Man dead in the City

Family members have identified the  body of an elderly man who died in the City this morning.

He is 76-year old  Nigel Oneal Antrobus of Coach Hill, St John.

His niece Anne Antrobus told Barbados TODAY that her deceased relative left home this morning for his customary Saturday visit to the Bridgetown but never made it back home alive.

He apparently stumbled and fell to his death as he was walking along the Wickham and Lewis Boardwalk, which begins at the Chamberlain Bridge, in the heart of City.

Police investigations are continuing but so far no foul play is suspected.

Anne Antrobus (left) was among relatives identifying the body.

This is very sad, however, it shows we do not know the hour death will visit us. The future is not in our hands, so do not put off for tomorrow what can be done today.
    RIP my brother
