According to an advisory from the police, the warning comes against the background of several reports that unscrupulous people, posing as transport operators at the airports, have been robbing unsuspecting victims.

The police say some of these individuals also offer to load or unload vehicles.

Reports have also surfaced that people are being trailed to their homes, where they are held up and robbed, the advisory added.

The police are asking to report any suspicious activities without delay, and are advising that if anyone suspects that they are being followed from the airport, they should proceed to a busy location immediately and contact the police at 311, 811 or the police 119 emergency number.
