Patriots sang and danced their way into Barbados’ 48th birthday  last night at Kensington Oval.

A few hundred Bajans turned out for the Wrap yourself ’round de Flag concert that began at about 9:30 p.m. that DJ Admiral said was intended to be an annual affair, allowing Barbadians to come out and show their love for country on the eve of the island’s birthday.

With a parade of local artistes, young and not so young, underlined with a heavy injection of Spouge, the occasion lived up to its billing of being “a celebration of music and our people draped in our national colours of blue, gold and black”.
