She will perform with a live orchestra for approximately 600 guests at the event and will also be joined by a number of other celebrity guests, which will be revealed at a later date.

The singer has said she is “proud” to be hosting the special charity ball which will take place at The Vineyard in Beverly Hills, California on December 11.

Rihanna said in a statement: “There is truly nothing I’m more proud of, and we’ve just gotten started. I’m excited to continue my work and thrilled to be able to host the Diamond ball – a night that promises to be elegant and inspirational.”

Founded by the award winning singer in 2012 in honor of her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite, the CLF works to aid quality of life for communities in need. It focuses on the areas of health, education, arts and culture. Among its initiatives is the Clara Braithwaite Centre for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, which has grown from a generous gift to a comprehensive programme treating cancer patients in Barbados.
