Elderly man stabbed

An elderly man has been hospitalized with several stab wounds after an altercation with a schoolboy yesterday evening.

The senior citizen – whose name police are withholding for now – was the other individual involved in the incident in the Fairchild Street Bus Terminal which was reported yesterday by Barbados TODAY.

Both he and the minor sought medical attention at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) after the confrontation.

However, while the boy was treated and discharged, the elderly man is still warded, Police Public Relations Officer Assistant Superintendent David Welch told Barbados TODAY this afternoon.

Police are taking statements and investigating the matter.

Do u guys read international news? There are 15yr Olds that kill their parents and are charged and sometimes some get sentence as adults. Why can’t this happen IF he is guilty? I don’t know the circumstances about this but who ever is the guilty party would have to face the music

Prince tazz that’s a valid albeit abused point, and I can’t really argue against it. However, the reality is, if I was a betting man, I’d put my money on the school “child” was the disgusting denizen here. Probably a “Kemar Merka Boss” or something. Lmao. Obviously I don’t know for sure, but after nuff time in town, the vanstand etc. to know that a lot of school kids are plain evil.

Apparently some people don’t know that young thugs grow into old thugs. Age doesn’t always equal wisdom!

Prince Taz, since you know the full facts, do the right thing and give ALL the details to the RBF. Where you get ‘no one has respect these days’ are you talking about yourself? Don’t jump on the donkey cart whilst it’s moving you might fall off. The crop season over, his trade is not a fisherman or butcher so why is the Monster walking around with a weapon? He is lucky the same weapon wasn’t used on him. If you got a problem with what was printed by the Press take it up with them.

Hyacinth Barker, No one has jumped to conclusions, comments were made to what was printed by the press and the matter is being dealt with by the Police.
