New tourism heads

Four new global directors of marketing have been appointed to the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI).

They include former interim CEO Petra Roach, who will head up operations in the United States, having previously held the position of vice-president of marketing in Britain for more than ten years. Cheryl Carter will take on the job of director in Britain, Peter Mayers in Canada, and Vicky Chandler for the Caribbean and Latin America.

CEO William Billy Griffith said the four directors would assume duties on January 1, 2015.

    They are some very competent people in this picture if they are lead in a positive and competent manner Barbados’s tourism will prosper

    Here we go again, another team … lets see how long they last at the wicket. I as still wondering what are these guys marketing? Have not yet been fortunate enough for some to tell me what is our tourism product. May this batch of brilliant mind can tell us all.

    Congrats to this team. Lets give these a chance and see how they perform. This is our major income earner and I hope that they deliver.
