Yes, Sir. It’s good to take a little break sometimes and then come back out fresh the next year.

Says :: who cares ! ALL CALYPSO COMPETITIONS SHOULD BE BANNED !! LETS HAVE A REAL MUSIC FESTIVAL- The non competition shows have attracted BIG crowds. Music comes from the soul and people will produce music regardless of competition. You do not need a competition that devalues all the songs that are not’ picked’ anyhow !! Calypso has gone no where in all the years of competition —no where. –And the songs that have reached anywhere never entered competition—For example — Hot Hot Hot —-cried down by many calypsonians when it came out–other examples abound !!! Calypso competitions emerged as a mechanism of control to dictate to and limit the artistes- calypsonians – to the topics that the elites thought were ‘passable’ , In Barbados when the calypso competition first started, calypsonians could not sing what they like. The rules dictated the topics. That situation was relaxed a little bit and the scope was broadened to include more topics. CALYPSO COMPETITIONS –NO !!!!! — MUSIC FESTIVALS —YES —
