13 hurt in bus accident

Thirteen passengers were injured when a Transport Board bus ran off the road on Rowans Road, St George this morning.

A police statement said the bus, driven by R. Headley, struck a guard wall around 5:50 am.

Of the 13 passengers who complained of injuries, three were reported to be seriously hurt and were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

The remaining passengers were taken to the Glebe Polyclinic for medical attention.

    Perhaps due to budget cuts the buses are not getting the necessary repairs….?
