Houses razed

An early morning fire in St Michael has razed two wooden houses and damaged another three.

Police say the fire that occurred around 4 am at 3rd Avenue, Parris Gap destroyed a three bedroom, one bathroom house occupied by a 37-year-old man, as well as a two bedroom, one bathroom house occupied by Angela and Leroy Downes.

The blaze was brought under control around 6:15 am by 13 firefighters led by the chief fire officer.

No one was injured in the fire.
