Prison officer found with contraband

A prison officer appears in court today after finding himself on the wrong side of the law.

Danny Michel Francisco Alleyne, 31, of Denton Road, Grazettes, St. Michael, is accused of unlawfully taking three mobile-phone batteries into Dodds Prison.

Police says the items were discovered on Alleyne after he was searched by his colleagues when he reported for duty at the facility located at Dodds, St. Philip.

The prison officer was detained and the police were summoned.

    There should be no form of privilges in Dodds for law breakers and that includes some of the dishonest greedy prison wardens.

    This to me is worse than murder because this is a correctional facility. Make him an example. The maximum jail sentence with hard labour. No feeding of him with tax-payers money.
