Caught with bread stuffed with cannabis

A Jamaican hairdresser appears in the District “B” Magistrate Court today to answer four drug-related charges in connection with an attempt to smuggle cannabis inside loaves of bread through the Grantley Adams International Airport.

Chantel Shaunalee Whyte, 20, has been charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of 5 lbs of cannabis.

Whyte, who arrived from Jamaica at about 7.20 pm yesterday was interviewed by police then referred to customs, where a search conducted by officers turned up nothing illegal.

However, when she was handed back to police officers a further search revealed a cardboard box containing two packs of bread containing the drug.

She was then arrested.

Remember back in the day when they were wars, yes, WARS, over spices? Remember there was a time when you were burned at the stake for growing a vegetable herbal garden? Remember? Now we call those times the DARK AGES and we call those people superstitious for lack of knowledge. Remember? Now we grow veggie herbal gardens. Now you use spices in your foods, no problem! Well, today, we are still living in the dark ages if we put people in jail for weed. PERIOD!

They will never learn. Why do these morons think they are above the law? Give her the 5lb Mari cutter to eat and put the jack ass without a tail on the next flight to Jamaica.

Cannabis is safer than TOBACCO and MOUNT GAY RUM! And I don’t smoke and I don’t drink, so don’t go there!

Please don’t feed her for five years. It will cost the government more than what the drugs cost.

Sheri Veronica, you are missing the point, the woman broke the Law. Mari is illegal not Mount Gay Rum.

Melina Leblanc, There”s enough spaced out morons in the world and they commit crime to feed their habit. People must learn to abide by the law. Legalising Mari is no help to Barbados. Yes times are hard, you lose your job, decide to deal in drugs, get caught, lose the few assets you worked hard for and your freedom and if you got children, who is going to look after them?

There is an ANNUAL MARIJAUANA/CANNABIS Festival in The Netherlands (Holland)
I Passed by to see what was Happening when i was there (I am Not a Smoker of Anything) was just curious
It is time the Governments of the Caribbean Countries Get Smart and take the Intrigue, and Criminal Elements out of the Canniabis Business, by doing what the ALMIGHTY USA (The anti Drug Lords) are actually doing. Legalise Cannabis for Medicinal and Recreational use in a CONTROLLED environment (Govt.Retail Stores) the second Last USA State to do that made $180.000.000 (TAXES) in the first Month of Operation. people are doing it irregardless of the outcome. the little Dutch Boy (Royal Reader Bk.3/4) only had so many fingers to plug the leaks in the Dam, we all should remember what happen to him after his fingers were exhausted (Get my drift)
Ministers Brathwaite and Sinckler should take a serious Look at my suggestion, it COULD/WOULD/SHOULD have a very POSITIVE EFFECT on the TREASURY (Economic Health)
Just a suggestion from a Bajan SERF
