Cheers, chants and champions

A packed National Stadium watched today as most of Barbados’ finest young athletes shone on the final day of the Powerade-sponsored Barbados Secondary Schools Athletics Championships.

By the end of the day Queen’s College’s boys and Springer Memorial’s girls had repeated as champions and some of the names that are likely to be heard of later at the CARIFTA Games had done themselves and their schools very proud. Names such as Tristan Evelyn, Levi Cadogan and Rivaldo Leacock, among many others performed with great aplomb.

Barbados TODAY was their to capture their moments and bring this pictorial review.
