Missing elderly woman

Help find this 70-year-old woman.

Mildred Wilkinson is missing.

Mildred Viola Wilkinson of Jury Road, Bridgefield, St Thomas left home sometime between 2 am and 5 am today and has not returned.

It’s believed that at the time she was wearing a long purple and pink armhole tie-dye dress with embroidery on the neck and hem.

She is 5’4” in height, with a light brown complexion, small oval face and thick lips and no teeth.  Her hair is greying and plaited in cornrow.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the police emergency number 211, or the nearest police station.

    This is happening too often. The media needs to embark on a public education campaign to teach people how to recognise the signs of dementia, what to expect, and how to respond when their relatives are affected by the condition.

    Elderly citizens with dementia and Alzheimer’s should have GPS tracker on them.
