Three men shot in St John

Lawmen are investigating a shooting incident that occurred about 3.45 pm today, in the area of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Small Town, St John in which three men, all residents of the parish, were injured.

Police PRO Inspector David Welch said it was during an altercation involving several people that gunshots were fired.

One man received a gunshot injury to his upper body and was taken to the QEH by ambulance in a serious condition.

Another was shot in his left leg, and the third received a graze to his head. Those two men were taken from the area in private vehicles.

    People seem to disregard our heroes for real.
    Yesterday there were 4 separate shootings in Brooklyn all within 4 hours…..and it was MLK Day.smh

    When you catch these guys instead of wasting time sending them to spend 7 yrs eating out that tax payers money in Dodds..just remove both they hands from wrist and let them go…

    Edward Stevens, thank you for your input. But violent crime in Barbados is fairly recent, and handguns are registered to business owners and certain people. The regular police do not carry weapons. This isn’t America or some other country were handgun violence is the norm.
