Drop in fuel prices

Barbadians will see as much as $12.24 in savings in fuel products today.

Effective midnight last night, the prices of petroleum products were reduced.

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) – known as cooking gas – has been adjusted from $192.40 to $180.16 for the 100-lb cylinder; from $53.20 to $50.14 for the 25-lb cylinder; from $46.98 to $44.29 for the 22-lb cylinder and $42.71 to $40.26 for the 20-lb cylinder.

The retail price of gasoline and diesel has also been cut. Gasoline, which retailed at $3.11 per litre, now costs $3.03 while diesel, which was priced at $2.79 per litre now costs $2.78.

The cost of kerosene remains unchanged at $1.82 per litre.
