Barbadians and visitors to the island came out in droves to see what local artists and artisans have to offer while taking in some of the nation’s history at the George Washington House today.

While some browsed through and bought Barbadian creations from paintings, and carvings to fabric, incense, soaps, and jewelry, others went through the house where the first US president stayed on his visit to Barbados.

Others jumped on a bus to gaze at some 30 sites of significance to our history around the Historic Garrison.

A special treat was the traditional changing of the sentry.
