Bus robbed, man held

KINGSTON — An alleged gunman is in custody following an incident where he and a crony posed as passengers and robbed a bus headed to downtown Kingston yesterday.

Reports are that the two men boarded the bus heading downtown via Slipe Road at about 8:45 p.m.

One asked the driver for a stop and then proceeded to rob passengers of cellular phones and $10,000 cash. The police were alerted and one of the men arrested while the other escaped.

A .38 pistol with seven cartridges was seized by police. (Observer)
