 St. Giles’ Ishem Ellis has been evoking favourable comments in the Bico-sponsored National Sports Council’s Primary Schools Football Competition. And today was no different at Blenheim, St. Michael.

The promising youngster scored both St. Giles’ goals in a good display but had to settle for a share of the spoils as opponents Wilkie Cumberbatch Primary also found the back of the St. Giles’ nets on two occasions.

Amir Alleyne and the consistent Traniko Browne scored for the Pine, St. Michael school. It was Ellis’ control and poise with the ball that pleased those at the ground and with a bit of luck might have added at least two more goals to his tally.

Also at Blenheim, Nathan Pollard-Belgrave and Sadiq Mayers with two goals and one respectively, led Charles F. Broome to a 2-0 defeat of the Al Falah team.

They were made to fight for the victory, as though the Passage Road, St. Michael school has yet to register a win, they continue to improve with each game and played spiritedly to the final whistle. In another game at Blenheim, Grantley Prescod defeated Belmont Primary 4-3.

Christopher Arthur with a brace of goals and Jaquan Kippins netted for Belmont, while Devonte Richards had a hat-trick and Jamarco Harewood netted the fourth The fourth game at Blenheim ended in a 0-0 draw between George Lamming Primary and Luther Thorne.

At Bagatelle, St. Thomas, without the good goalkeeping of Jahki Codrington, Welches Primary might have conceded more than the one goal which they did to St. Silas Primary in a 1-0 loss. Dre Greaves found the back of the nets for St. Silas. Also at Bagatelle Raheem Holligan’s goal for St. Stephen’s Primary got them the 1-0 win over Sharon Primary.

At Briar Hall Blackman and Gollop continued their winning ways with a comfortable 2-0 win against St. Christopher’s Primary. Javon Forde and Kievre Clarke were the marksmen for the winners who made it three in three.

Also at Briar Hall, Christ Church, Milton Lynch and St. Bartholomew drew 1-1. Antoine Bourne scored for Milton Lynch while Thierry Gale netted for St. Bartholomew.

In another encounter at Briar Hall, Nathan Skeete and James Grant each scored as Wills Primary defeated Providence Elementary 2-0. Niall Reid-Stephen continued his goal-scoring form with a brace to add to goals from Ishan Wilson and Kashawn Ifill as Arthur Smith beat Vauxhall 4-1 at Briar Hall.

Joshua DeFreitas scored for Vauxhall. Kai Brewster netted thrice and Damario Moore twice as Hilda Skeene ran over Reynold Weekes 5-0 at their Ruby, St. Philip home ground.

At Shorey Village, St Andrew, St. Elizabeth Primary defeated St. Joseph Primary 3-0 thanks to goals from Tyreke Hackett with a double, and Trey Mayers.
