Green gets it again

Green House are once again the giants of Welches Primary school athletics.

Last Friday and for the fourth consecutive year they won the annual inter-house sports day at the Bagatelle St. Thomas playing field. They tallied 675 points while Red House had to settle for second place with 553. Yellow House was third with 501 points.

Jahleel Armstrong of Red House won the 100 metres, 200m and 400m to be the Victor Ludorum and the Under 11 Divisional Champion. Green House’s Addis Ward was the Victrix Ludorum as well as the Under 11 Divisional Champion.

Other Divisional Champions were: Nursery – Zadia Boxill of Green, Nathan Carrington of Red. Under 7 – from Green House Jada Yearwood and from Yellow Kyree Lopez. Under 9 – Green House, Shadea Grazette and Keon Herbert of Yellow House. Under 13 – Sharika Small of Yellow and Red House’s Tyrek Mayers.

Physical Education teacher, Rodney Forde, told Barbados TODAY that there were many talented stars but he identified Lagina Colucci, who won the 100m and 200m in the Under 11 division, as an outstanding performaner. (KC)††††
