Mayers accused of sexually assaulting eight-year-old

courtA Wildey, St Michael resident was released on $7,000 bail Friday on a charge of serious indecency involving an eight-year-old girl.

Anderson St Clair Mayers was not required to plead to the indictable offence when he appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court accused of committing the act sometime between January 1 and February 24 this year.

Just have to pay a bail and is out on the streets again to keep on sexually assaulting children. Is this justice for the children abused? The judges have children or grandchildren? I wonder what they would do if one of those abused children is his or hers… what he or she would do? Would demand a bail too? Something is very wrong with the “justice” system in Barbados. A man steals a tuna can and spends 6 months in jail, but if 3 guys steal 3 million dollars from an insurance company they walk out free. Can someone explain this?

    Why the attack on Hammie.?
    This is only an accusation.
I am sure Hamilton Lashley is aware of the circumstances surrounding the incident and is in a better position to make the decision to sign bail for the accused.
A person is assumed innocent until proven guilty.
Why do you assume guilt and behave like a bunch of savages.

It is issues like this, that have this Little Island so bad. That child should never ever have to go through nothing so, she could have been enjoying her young life, and he come and scar her. And he on bail?? He should have life in jail, keys throw away too. Hammi-la aint know no better either.
And Mac, it may only be an accusation, but in my opinion, he sholud not have been on bail.

Kathy-Ann, stop being emotional. The man was accused of serious indecency involving an eight-year-old girl. This is an indictable offence and as such he was not required to plea. He is innocent until he is found guilty. Despite how we may feel and how emotionally charge we may be. He must be found guilty before sentencing.

I hope that this case is not dismissed because of lack of evidence.
