Alleged serial thief remanded

courtA 34-year-old St Andrew man has been remanded to prison in connection with a series of thefts across four parishes.

Anthony Bovell of Franklyn Road, Belleplaine appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court Friday accused of entering a number of business places in St James, St George, St Thomas and St Michael and stealing cash and property worth more than $2,200.

Bovell reportedly carried out the crimes at knife point between October 29, 2015 and November 19, 2016.

In one instance, the accused allegedly went into a business known as Brandi’s Fashion and stole $1,500 while brandishing a knife.
