Walker denies damaging hard drive
A business executive who appeared in court this afternoon accused of stealing a computer hard drive and damaging it, was released on $2,000 bail.
Shakera Latoya Walker of Byde Mill, St George, is charged that, between July 14 and August 19, 2016, she knowingly or recklessly and without lawful excuse or justification, interfered with the functioning of a laptop computer system by removing the hard drive. She was also charged with stealing the hard drive, valued at $350, belonging to Anni Di Rella.
The accused pleaded not guilty on both counts and will have to return to court on March 9, 2017. The prosecution did not object to bail.
