Flood warning discontinued

The flood warning issued earlier this afternoon has been discontinued.

A statement from the Met office says satellite and radar imagery indicate some improvement in conditions across the island.

The Met office said earlier today that the combination of a low-level trough and the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone had been generating pockets of moderate to heavy showers and periods of rain across the island during the last few hours.
