Barbados under flood warning

A flood warning has been issued for Barbados.

The advisory, issued by the Barbados Meteorological Office, says the combination of a low-level trough and the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone has been generating pockets of moderate to heavy showers and periods of rain across the island during the last few hours.

These conditions are expected to persist during the afternoon, with some improvement likely into tonight.

The Met office said rainfall accumulations of at least two to three inches are possible, and residents in flood-prone areas should take the necessary precautions.

The advisory is expected to be updated at 6:00 p.m. or earlier, if conditions warrant.

So you clever people at (BWA) are you all harvesting any of this free water , you all blame the rain for not coming before or lining up with the politicians and blame climate change, which is preventing you all from harvesting the rain you have to find some excuse……or let some bible whacker tell you that god is sending the wrong type of rain……i

You really must not look for any entrepreneurial thinking in or at the BWA. Its staff has been thoroughly and completely brainwashed to believe subscribers to their service are there not to be served but simply to pay their monthly bill come hell or no water. It’s another uncontrolled and most likely uncontrollable Government department. God help us if the new BWA building sets the tone for new Government buildings. Each with its own bloody gym?
