Alley of art

In a move to transform the alleys in The City, officials have embarked on a beautification project, which will result in the painting of murals on some of the buildings.


Monday officials unveiled the first such mural at the Flower Alley, Lower Broad Street. Here, (from left) focal point person for Bridgetown and its Garrison Sharon Johnson, Manager of Innovation and Strategy at the Barbados Tourism Product Authority Terry Vanderpool-Fox, President of the Bridgetown Taxi Association Philip Garner; Managing Director of Diamonds International Jacob Hassid and Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley. Partially hidden is committee member of the Bridgetown Revitalization Initiative Sharon Christie.
