The 13th edition of the show, themed Undisputed Champions of Life, came off last Sunday evening at the Derrick Smith Vocational School, Jackmans, St Michael.
It was well attended and the audience gave the six contestants thunderous applause and standing ovations for their various stage appearances, providing them with extra motivation.
Besides the winner, the other contestants were Monique Deane, Shelomi Shepherd, Crystal Forde, Khenya King, and Natasha Richlieu.
Williams, in her introduction, described herself as “an hour glass with a few more minutes”. She showed that she had the endurance to win the near five-hour-long show.
Williams also took the prizes for Miss Congeniality, Best Lingerie, Best Formal Wear and Best Talent with a piece entitled “Champion Woman”.
The crowd favorite was 1st runner up, Monique Dean, who gave Williams a run for her money as she was consistent in every segment.
Dean won prizes for Miss Social Media and Most Improved.
Second runner-up was 18 year old Khenya King. She stole the hearts of many in the audience with her charming personality, outfits and talent in each segment.
She was adjudged Miss Photogenic.
Pageant director Tonia Husbands told the audience that “to stand in the role of director for this pageant has been both challenging and rewarding.”
“The road to here was very challenging but you made it,” she told the contestants. “A true champion never gives up and fights on at times. They may fall but they always get back up. I pray that you will take this experience with you…”
