Boy killed in Haiti amid protest

A teenage boy was fatally shot in Haiti on Tuesday amid protests over delays in aid distribution after a Category 4 hurricane pummeled the Caribbean country last month. It is the second such death reported in the past week.

Protesters were seen running through the streets of the southern coastal city of Les Cayes pushing a wooden cart with the boy’s body covered in a bloodstained white sheet.

“We want justice! We want justice!” they chanted as they gathered around the body.

Mayor Jean Gabriel Fortune said the boy was killed as police clashed with protesters when they tried to climb aboard a boat that had arrived from Puerto Rico days ago carrying supplies. Fortune said an investigation is underway as a crowd once again tried to break into the boat on Tuesday. (Associated Press)

So why would they have to try to climb aboard a boat? Are the foodstuffs not being distrubuted fairly? Seems the poor and hungry are being left out of the donation game! This world is too unfair!

What would you expect other than failure our black politicians all over the world the same thing failure , where is all the money given for the earthquake , no one can account for that… in a case as this the (United Nation ) should set up offices in (Haiti) to distribute and overseer the rebuilding program , keep the politicians away from the money or else 10 years from now would be the same…

That is indeed a rough one, the hurricane didn’t kill him but trying to make sure he get some food did, what was the point of sending food and supplies there again ?? If people are sending food and supplies to ensure that the people live and in the process of getting said food and supplies, they are executed, the first point of sending such there was not fulfilled.
