GG stops at St Catherine’s

The St Catherine’s Primary School was the latest stop for Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave today as he continued with his primary school visits.

Students at the small school greeted him with open arms and delivered an entertainment package that included his favourite song, The Ash Grove, which he thoroughly enjoyed; a poem entitled
St Catherine’s School; and the school choir’s rendition of Beautiful Barbados.

Sir Elliott left his usual messages with the students, urging them to stay in school, put education in the forefront of their lives, and stay away from illegal drugs and all other illicit activity.

Students then got the opportunity to interact with the Governor General in a meet and greet.

Sir Elliott is expected to wrap up his primary school visits by November 7.
