St James man nursing stab wounds

One woman is assisting police with investigations into a stabbing which occurred 12:50 a.m. today at Dira’s Bar, Reed Street, St Michael.

Police say preliminary investigations indicate that 38-year-old Alvin Fredericks of Oxnards St James was involved in an altercation with a woman when he was stabbed in the abdomen.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance where he underwent emergency surgery. He is said to be in a stable condition.

    Crime is not a Man or Women thing; so when you try to paint it in a way, where if it was a man he would have been remanded you are talking rubbish .Sometimes ones defense has a lot to do with the outcome of criminal acts. The Police are the ones doing the investigation here ,not Lennox Hewitt. When the investigation is completed i am sure they’ll will be a decision as to whether charges are to be laid when the Court has heard all evidence. Maybe she’ll end up in Jail, maybe not if he was the instigator and that was her only means of defense. Mr. Hewitt ,you don’t decide that .
