Murder accused remanded

Murder accused, 16-year-old Raffique Vincent Murray of Sinckler Road, Haggat Hall St Michael, has been remanded to prison, after he appeared in court today charged with the murder of David Delisle Harewood of no fixed place of abode.

Murray was not required to plead to the indictable charge when he appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant.

He is due to return to court on November 11.

Harewood, 39, was discovered motionless on the roadway at the corner of George Street and Belmont Road, St Michael by a police mobile unit in the early hours of Monday October 3.

This saddens me. At 16? What was he thinking? He will now have to settle for an education in prison. I hope he learns well and not returned to society wearing a frock and a blushing smile.
