Voluntary treatment recommended

courtA 29-year-old man who is recorded as having no fixed residence was today ordered to enroll in the walk-in drug rehabilitation programme at the Psychiatric Hospital.

The recommendation came from officials at the Black Rock, St Michael institution after Andre Omar Mullin was assessed on his suitability for drug rehabilitation.

Magistrate Douglas Frederick also imposed a six-month bond on the unemployed man. Mullin must keep the peace and stay out of trouble for that period or he will spend three months in jail.

The sentence was handed down Thursday in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court following Mullin’s previous guilty plea to stealing a $99 cellular phone belonging to Anthony Marshall.
