Freak accident at My Lord’s Hill

A 45-year-old mechanic is receiving treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for injuries he sustained when a truck fell on him at My Lord’s Hill, St Michael around 11:15 a.m.

According to police spokesman Acting Inspector Roland Cobbler, the man was working on a dump truck when the vehicle slipped from its position and pinned him underneath.

He had to be rescued by officers from the Barbados Fire Service.
