Accused killer remanded

Murder accused Shamar Omar Ishmael was Tuesday remanded to HMP Dodds after making his first appearance in the District ‘A’ No.2 Magistrates’ Court.

The 25-year-old, of 1st Avenue Jackson, St Michael, is charged with the October 7 killing of 34-year-old Kevin Brewster, who was shot in the back of the head in the Trench Town area of Coleman Road in his Jackson, St Michael district.

Brewster was treated by emergency medical technicians on the scene before he was rushed by ambulance to the state-run Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Today, Ishmael was not required to plead to the indictable offence, which was read by Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant.

The accused man, who is represented by attorney-at-law Brian Clarke, is scheduled to re-appear in court on November 8.

    Young men are just throwing their lives away at an alarming paced. Dead ,lock up.what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and loose his soul. There are so much more to life,beside hate anger,material gain. shalom.

    See the rude boy image of the idiot ? two or 3 days locked up in a cage liked an animal he would come to his senses when he realizes that others would be calling his shots.
