The finals were held last Sunday. The young singer, who gave two soulful performances of When We Were Young and Don’t You Remember, amassed 668 points to take the crown.

Daniel, a junior calypsonian, was elated following her win after a hard fought season. She finished eight points ahead of the first runner-up.

The battle for the second spot was extremely close as just one point separated second from third. Neesha Welch grabbed the second spot, earning 660 points with her renditions of No More Night and I Made It Through The Rain.

Little Tahirah Gibbons was third with 559 points. She sang Girl On Fire and From This Moment.
