Lynch to know his fate later this month

courtA 59-year-old Christ Church man will know his fate in a little over two weeks after he was found guilty of assaulting a woman.

Magistrate Douglas Frederick made his ruling this afternoon after the prosecution’s last witness took to the stand in the case against Errol Lynch, of Fordes Road, Clapham.

Lynch was charged with assaulting Delores Matthews on April 8, 2014 and occasioning her actual bodily harm.

Matthews told the court that she had been suffering from back pains since the incident and had been seeking medical attention from a neurosurgeon, which was costly.

She then informed the court that she would like time to speak to her attorney-at-law to determine her next course of action.

The matter was adjourned until September 30 for sentencing.
